Maureen Cowen

My Background

After a lengthy career in adminstration and successfully completing an Open University degree in Psychology I decided to train as a therapist, and chose Reflexology. I qualified at the London School of Reflexology in 2002 and am a member of the Association of Reflexologists.


Areas of Specialization

My main areas of experience have been working with the elderly, and with cancer patients. I have been a volunteer reflexologist at the Marie Curie hospice in Hampstead, and also at Queen Mary's Hospital.

I trained for an ITEC Diploma in Indian Head Massage at the College of North London, in 2004. I further added Indian Foot Massage to my repetoire by attending a course at the Ayurvera Pura Academy in June, 2007.


AOR

The Association of Reflexologists, founded in 1984, aims to maintain a high standad of practice and patient care. Members are bound by the Association's Code of Practise and Ethics.
